Historic Savage Mill Engagement Session – Antonella & Cole

Laughter, that is what sticks out from this shoot. Cole and Antonella were such a great couple to spend time with and get to know!  Not only did they look stunning, but they were friendly, genuine and always making each other laugh.

Then, when we explained that we would have to scramble down some pretty steep rocks to get to a beautiful location, they didn’t hesitate to let us know they were up for a little adventure.  We’re so glad they were! Overall, one of my favorite aspects of photo shoots is seeing how couple looks at each other.  As you’ll see, this shoot did not disappoint!

What were your first impressions of each other?

Cole: So a little background to our first date. We met online and I wanted to meet her, but her work was far away and I was unfamiliar/new to the area. So I went and surprised her at work, the look on her face was priceless and I will never forget that. We didn’t get to talk much, but she had a great smile and seemed a little shy around me. I don’t know why but it drove me crazy! So as we left I asked her on a date.

Antonella: Our first date was pretty funny because it was football season and he was going to miss his team play just to hang out with me. I asked him if he wanted to watch it, I told him we could go to a restaurant that will show the game and then he asked me if it was okay if we could watch it at my house and asked if my dad liked football, I found it odd that he would want to hang out with my family right off the bat lol. When he arrived my sister, my brother, my dad, and my mom were all downstairs so he got introduced to the whole family haha he blushed really badly. Of course tho I was just as nervous and he could see my hands shaking haha. He totally surprised me by opening the door of the car, helping me take my coat off, pulling out my chair, i thought that kind of man didn’t exist anymore haha.

What was one of your favorite moments from the shoot?

Cole: My favorite moment from the shoot was probably the water shots. I think it was very creative and fun, I’m sure those will be some of the best shots. Also just how comfortable you two made us feel having it been our first time in front of a camera like that.

Antonella: My favorite moment from the shoot was definitely the water shots. I just loved listening to the water it was so relaxing and like Cole said, I know those pictures will turn out great! Another favorite moment was when you told Cole to squint his eyes a bit and i turned around and looked at him and he looked so serious and like a complete model hahah i lost it.

What is something silly or quirky the other person does?

Cole: Something I find quirky is when she starts talking nerdy to me, like about science and chemistry and biology. I love it, and she fascinates me. Sometimes she forgets that she’s talking to someone who struggles in science and I can get a little lost lol.

Antonella: When he’s himself! lol. We are both super clumsy so we laugh at each other all the time haha. He is just a total goober and makes me laugh with all the things he does, the jokes he makes, and the things he says.
