Such a lovely spring day with Ashley and Terrell! It was a beautiful setting to capture this happy couple during the cherry blossom festival! We’re especially thrilled there’s a Wisconsin connection to these two. Very much looking forward to their wedding this coming fall.
Tell us about your first date?
Ashley: We are both big baseball fans so Terrell knew it would be a hit to take me to my first Nats game. The game itself was a lot of fun, but the real fun was laughing and talking throughout the game.
Terrell. I knew Ashley liked baseball so I spent a lot of money to get great tickets, but THEN someone offered me even better ones like an hour before the game. So I took her to the Diamond Club (maybe she thought I just was THAT big of a baller) and I ended up just giving my tickets to a random couple. The game was a hit and these two drunk guys in front of us kept saying that I was a lucky man, which obv. was true.
Share something silly or quirky the other person does.
Ashley: Ever since I was a little girl, I always said I wanted to marry a guy like my dad and Terrell certainly fits that as he pokes at, tickles and messes with me relentlessly just like dad did when I was little. The more I scream and flail the funnier he thinks it is.
Terrell: Ashley has this really silly habit. When we are driving in the car we both LOVE to sing! Ashley though, sometimes doesn’t know the words to the songs so she just mumbles them and then when the word is really obvious like, “the or love or happy” she’ll belt it out! Example, “Because I’m (insert Ashely’s REALLY loud) HAPPY, clap along if you know what HAPPINESS means to YOU…”
What is one of your favorite characteristics of your fiancé / fiancée?
Ashley: No matter where we are, what we’re doing, or what mood I’m in, Terrell always makes me laugh and we have fun doing literally anything from just sitting on the couch to road trips to Nats games.
Terrell: There are too many to choose from. Ashley is the most sweet, caring, fun, funny, responsible but carefree, pretty girl that I’ve ever met. If I had to choose ONE, I would say it’s the way that she can look at me and make me feel like everything and everyone else disappears because all she’s looking at and listening to is me. I know that she’s as happy in those moments as I am everyday I’m with her.
What is a special song for you two?
Ashley: Tenerife Sea by Ed Sheeran because he had it playing when he asked me to marry him. Fridays are always “flower Fridays” from Terrell and when I got home that Friday he had 100 roses surrounded by candles with that song playing in the background.
Terrell: Baby Got Back by Sir Mix-a-Lot because when we first started dating she was walking up the metro escalator in front of me and had on this awesome skirt. She said that the skirt kept getting spun around b/c it’s too big on her waist and I said, “No it’s because your waist is small and your curves are kickin’…” in this deadpan way that she laughed so hard at my dorky comment I knew we had something special.
