Hyatt Regency Bethesda Wedding – Cristina & Chris

After their engagement session a year ago, we could hardly wait for Chris and Cristina’s wedding. We had so much fun capturing this couple’s relationship and we knew their wedding would be more of the same. On their picture perfect wedding day, it was clear that they compliment one another well and love each other deeply!

Their ceremony and sweet moments through out the day was surely the best. We were able to hit up some of DC most beautiful locations for their wedding portraits, from the Washington Monument, to Lincoln Memorial Reflecting Pool, and the Thomas Jefferson Memorial! There couldn’t have been a better way to begin the Spring season than with these two!!

We are so happy to have had the honor of photographing such an amazing day and so many incredible couples portraits, (for real, keep scrolling!!) tender moments, and beautiful smiles.

Seeing each other for the first time

“There were nerves earlier in the day and even five minutes before the ceremony started but the actual moment right before Cristina walked down the aisle didn’t make me nervous. It was just pure excitement and joy. I couldn’t believe it was actually happening.” Chris recalls.

“Right before we saw each other I was very nervous and a little frazzled because I thought I would have time to catch my breath and relax a little before the ceremony started but we walked right in as it was go-time! Before we turned the corner to walk down the aisle my dad reminded me of a funny memory we shared on a trip together a couple years ago. It made me laugh and really put my nerves at ease.” Cristina says.

During the ceremony

For Cristina the most joy she felt on her wedding day was listening to their priest read the letters they wrote to each other. “We were worried when he asked us to do that for the ceremony but it ended up being a very special moment for us. We didn’t write them together or talk about it beforehand so it was really special to realize we wrote about a lot of the same things.”

“Having the Priest announce us as husband and wife, turning to one another, seeing how excited we were and then having everyone in attendance cheer as we walked down the aisle together. Truly, the best feeling I’ve ever experienced” Chris says.
