Preparing Your Wedding Details!

What to have ready for your photographer when they arrive.

We personally believe that having photos of your details is important, which is why we schedule them on your timeline. In 10 years are you going to still have your invitations or the same jewelry you had on your wedding day? Likely not.

The only way to remember those items that made your day so unique is to document them in your pictures.

No wedding photographer should have to spend hours tracking down the details they need to create beautiful pictures. The goal is to arrive, finish the details as quickly as possible and move on to photograph the rest of your day, capturing you, your friends and family. We donโ€™t want to miss any of the precious moments that make your day so special.

Letโ€™s get to it. There are some ways you can make your life and your photographerโ€™s life easier. First, have everything all together and ready once they arrive. We recommend getting your items together at least a week before your wedding and put them in a giant box or bag. This way you can simply hand it over to us and not have to worry about it.

Here’s what youโ€™ll need to gather:

  • Your Dress
  • Shoes
  • Veil
  • All Three Rings
  • Invitations
  • Ceremony Program
  • Vows (if you are writing your own)
  • Jewelry
  • Perfume
  • Bouquet

If at all possible, wait to put your veil on until after we take the pictures. If yours is particularly complicated, go ahead and have your hairstylist put it in for you. Otherwise, leave it out to get some gorgeous pictures. I can capture your mother or maid of honor putting it in your hair for that special photo.

For your rings, take time to clean them before your big day, you want them to sparkle! Make sure you have your engagement ring and wedding band along with your groomโ€™s band as well.
