Sequoia Restaurant Wedding in Georgetown D.C.

There is something very special about being surrounded by friends from every stage of life as you spend the morning getting ready to marry the love of your life. Marian and Rob had an amazing group surrounding them with support and doing everything possible to make sure the couple’s day was incredible!

As they remember:
We felt the most joyful when we were up at the front of the church in front of all our family and friends. I think that’s when it really hit us that everyone was there to see us and witness this beautiful and magical day, which is exactly what it was!

Right before the ceremony Marian says that she “was just hoping that I wouldn’t cry! I was walking down the aisle with my dad and all I could think was, don’t forget this feeling and don’t let the tears flow, which of course they did! It was amazing to see Rob standing up there waiting for me. It was such a beautiful and sweet moment, and it’s one of my favorites to look back on.”

While according to Rob, “I thought of how beautiful Marian was and how excited I was to see her walking down that aisle. I loved seeing both of our families in front of us, and realizing that they were our families, together, and not just mine or hers. We were formally becoming one team, husband and wife.”

And married life? It’s been amazing and relaxing! We are settling back into our lives before they were consumed with wedding planning, so it is definitely less busy. We are just enjoying the holiday season and, all the while, trying to get used to referring to each other as husband and wife. Now we just need to start the name change process to make everything official!
