D.C. Cherry Blossom Engagement Photos – Anna & Sean

During Cherry Blossom season things can get crazy, but even with tourists crowding all around Sean and Anna only had eyes for each other – and of course their adorable puppy Pippi!  Such a fun session with a couple that is clearly in love. May your love continue to grow as you have many adventures together!

How it all started:

Anna: It’s really hard to say when our first date was, since we met in a language training class.  As each other’s only Vietnamese language classmate, we spent nearly 6 months stumbling through rising and falling tones and asking each other lots of get-to-know-you questions that feature heavily in language classes, and, incidentally, on first dates: “How many people in your family?” “What do you like to do in your free time?” “Where did you grow up?” etc. etc. I think the attraction was always there (I spent more time in class than I should admit thinking about touching Sean’s awesome hair), but we both had a professional goal in mind: pass the Vietnamese exam.  With that in the bag, the rest was already obvious..

Sean: After we both passed our Vietnamese tests, we went kayaking on the Potomac over by Georgetown. I think the next day we went to see Prometheus (which Anna hated), so good thing we started on a high note.

We asked them to share something silly or quirky the other person does. Here’s what they said:

Anna: Sean has dedicated an entire social media channel to pictures and videos of our dog Pippi. Who am I kidding – I have too. We love that little thing.

Sean: Anna’s favorite show is Dance Moms. There really isn’t much else to add to that.

Some of their fiancé’s / fiancée’s favorite characteristics, in their own words:

Anna: You mean besides that he enjoys doing dishes and makes great breakfasts?  Sean is the most reliable person I know. And his hair is just as great as it looked.

Sean: She’s beautiful, smart, loves dogs and babies, and is down to go see Furious 7 and cry at the end despite never having seen any of the other previous six installments. What a gal.

Music that’s special to them:

Sean: The entire Frozen soundtrack. I haven’t heard a non-Frozen or Taylor Swift song in two years.

Anna: Definitely “Love is an Open Door” from ‘Frozen.’  We’re available for duets. Don’t let Sean fool you into thinking he doesn’t like it too.
