Yards Park D.C. Engagement Photos – Meghan & Brandon

Meghan & Brandon were such a fun couple!  We had a great time getting to know them and capturing the joy they radiated.  They had such great smiles!  Seeing them interact it was clear that they love and trust each other deeply.

What was your first date like?

Meghan & Brandon:  Our first date was at the Bryn Mawr Theater, which is a small 2-screen movie theater near Villanova.  We went to see The King’s Speech.  It was raining and I had my hood on, Brandon is still embarrassed to be seen with me in my rain jacket.  I actually had 2 roommates who wanted to see the movie but knew that we were going so they went to the 4pm showing so they wouldn’t be there when we were!  They were rooting for us to start dating and very happy we finally had plans.  We had been friends for a while before we started dating but Brandon had been dragging his feet!

What is something silly or quirky the other person does?

Meghan:  Brandon thinks his smile gets better if he has held it for a while so he makes us take multiple pictures in a row – the engagement shoot was his ideal!  We were actually taking multiple selfies when he proposed!

Brandon: Meghan sings along to literally every song that comes on the radio – even the ones she doesn’t like.  I’ll often go through stations on the car radio looking for a song to listen to and pause on a song that Meghan starts singing.  She’ll get through a whole verse and a chorus before asking me to change the station because she hates the song.

What is one of your favorite characteristics of your fiancé / fiancée?

Meghan:  Brandon is very patient with me.  I am often indecisive or want his input on trivial things (which toothpaste to get, what to make for dinner…).  I even ordered about 25 sample wedding invitations and Brandon looked at all of them with me and gave his opinion…or at least the opinion he thought he was supposed to have…

Brandon:  Meghan is a mean cook/baker.  When we were in college she always used to bake cookies to lure me over to her house – and it worked without fail.  She cooks and bakes for me all the time, so she’s very thoughtful, too, which I guess would be the actual characteristic that’s my favorite.  Those cookies though.

Thanks Meghan & Brandon for making this such a wonderful shoot!
