We love how Maggie and Brian’s wedding reflected their story! They got married at the stunning St Aloysius, right by Gonzaga where Brian went to high school. Plus, they chose to have their wedding at the end of December, the same day as the anniversary of Maggie’s parent’s. What a special way toย incorporate the legacy of their marriage! Then to end the night they brought out some tasty Jamaicanย treats from the restaurantsย Brian’s family owns.
Throughout the day the bride and groom were surrounded by the love and support of their friends and family, many of whom traveled from all over the world to celebrate with Maggie and Brian as they became husband and wife.
Check out some of our favorite Washington DC wedding venuesย to get married in.
The Ceremony
Maggie – I was thinking that I wanted to remember this feeling and this moment forever. I was wondering how nervous Brian was and surprised that we were both able to keep it together and not cry (at least not too much!)
Brian – ย I was thinking “Wow this is about to happen!”
All the Joy
Maggie – I was most joyful in the moments following our vows and exchanging of rings, in our first few moments as husband and wife. I made sure to take it all in and was just overcome with happiness.
Brian – I was overcome with happiness in the moment that the Maggie and I got to see the receptions space before the guests were allowed up from cocktail hour. Seeing everything we had planned come together in that moment was breathtaking and it was just wonderful to experience it, just us two, before everyone else.
Being Married
Married life has been great! We escaped the cold to Cancun, Mexico the week following our wedding day and are just now getting back to the real world. We’re looking forward to our first year as newlyweds! We love winter weddings. Of course, the fact that we got married during that season might make us slightly biased ๐
But who can help swooning for the glamor of a black tie wedding topped off by a little snow?
Congratulationsย again to the new Mr. and Mrs.!
