InterContinental Hotel The Wharf

The Wharf Intercontinental Hotel is so gorgeous that you do not need to step foot outside of it to get a variety of wonderful backgrounds, no wonder it is considered one of the best Washington DC wedding location(we actually have a guide here that you might want to check out). Our day started with a first and we adore how happy, calm and elegant their vibe was for the entire day.

The string trio set a warm uplifting tone for the ceremony and the singers + speakers were a perfect touch! You will just love Eric’s textured jacket, Jessica’ beautiful gown, the unique cake design, the incredible dance floor scene and all of the pretty details!

Aside from Jessica marrying her best friend and love of her life, we asked her at what at what point did you feel most the joyful on your wedding day, ” I felt the most joyful in my bridal suite on the morning of my wedding. At that point, I was able to relinquish my wedding planning responsibilities and just enjoy being pampered with my ladies (family & friends). What was going to happen was going to happen… luckily for me, the entire weekend ran smoothly. A true dream come true.”

“In the moments leading up to our ceremony, I was filled with mixed emotions. Although I am a very outgoing and personable woman, I am not used to being the center of attention. As happy & excited as I was in that moment, I was almost sick to my stomach to walk down the aisle with nearly 300 eyes on me… the doors opened and all eyes were on me, but all I saw was my groom standing at the other end of the aisle. His sheer presence calmed me from across the room. All of the butterflies in my belly instantly vanished. I was his and he was mine. I was left with feelings of pure joy :)”
